First I must mention the true character of Catch of the Day Charters. They donated a fishing trip to the fund raiser Syds Wish (in Montana) who provide assistance to families with children who have medical needs. I was lucky enough to be high bidder. We were able to easily schedule a fishing trip with them on July 10. Captain Trent and mates Braden and Michael are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. My son and I had a very fun and exciting adventure with them. I would highly recommend Catch of the Day charters.. I will definitely book with them again. Highly recommend Catch of the Day Charters! They did a fantastic job of keeping our son engaged during the trip. Capt. Josh explained the electronics and what he was looking for. Capt. Trent along with First Mate John did a fantastic job explaining the bait and the different fish we caught. The trip was highlighted with a beautiful Mahi! Captain Trent put us on the fish we wanted to catch. He was excellent! He knew when and how to position us from hole to hole and was attentive and personable. We did 2 days, 4/20 & 21 and were not disappointed. Caught a sail, black fin tunas, Mahi-Mahi’s Kings and more. Mate Jeff was good with keeping our lines in the water and making the most of our precious fishing time.

Captain Trent and crew are awesome. 6 hour trip, I caught a 25lb American red snapper (properly returned to the depths), 1 sailfish, limits of golden tile and vermilion snapper. Comfortable enclosed seating. Can’t say enough as an old fisherman that seriously appreciates being put on the fish.

Had a great 6 hour fishing with these guys. We were fortunate to have both Captain Josh and Captain Trent on board along with deckhand Nick. All are top notch. It was a little rough but the boat did great; it was big enough, and handled the waves great. Very comfortable. Guys did a great job, caught fish almost all day, Bonita, Mahi, kingfish. Even got me on to a tuna but I pulled the hook. It was a fun day (though rough) and I would definitely book with them again.

Captain Jake and First Mate Chad did and excellent job in giving us a life long experience. The Banded Rudderfish bite was phenomenal! The Grouper we tied into gave us fights for our lives. Even tied into a seven foot Bull Shark which was brought to the boat then released. Awesome adventure!!! Can't wait to our next trip.
